Our adventure with The Earth Lounger started about 8 years ago while visiting our favorite beach with our son. I was facing a problem because, I was pregnant at the time and I found it hard to sit comfortably on the ground while playing in the sand. I couldn't sit in a traditional beach chair because it wouldn't allow me to be close enough to my son. My husband and I pondered this problem and we stared with a simple design which allowed me to fill a pillow that had an opening at the top with sand while at the beach. The sand pillow worked great, but we could only use it at the beach. I wanted to be able to take my lounger everywhere, So after a few more years of research and development, I created the lounger you see today, with an inflatable ergonomic backrest, lightweight, durable fabrics, that allows anyone to relax and lounge anywhere and everywhere!
*Back in 2015, I was sewing pillows to sell at farmers markets, and I made them for friends and family, and that's how the original pillow was created.

I cut up some old towels from around the house to get the shape I was seeking and pieced the lounger together. I then used a round pool float to show the concept of it being able to inflate and deflate. Little by little the lounger started to take shape and the design was nearly finalized. The hardest part was finding the right fabric. I wanted the bottom to be water proof, but I also wanted the top to be water resistant and easy to clean. It took 6 samples until we got it right.
It was a long road to get to the finish line, but we are proud of our design and product and we can't wait to share it with everyone!
